About Taco Truck Tycoon

Taco Truck Tycoon is a warm, funny, systems-driven food truck management sim โ€” a cozy tycoon game about growing one sidewalk taco stand into a food empire, one service day at a time.

The idea

We wanted a management game with the progression and replayability of the great business-builders, but softer around the edges: a short daily loop you can finish in a few minutes, decisions that are easy to read and hard to take back, and a result you can always tell a story about โ€” "rainy Tuesday, parked by the office district, sold out of quesadillas by 2pm." No opaque stats, no punishing grind. Failure is funny and recoverable, and the game wants you to keep cooking.

The story

Uncle Himmey's famous taco truck, La Reina, was sold "for debts" โ€” though the man tips in fifties and won't explain. What he hands you is his sidewalk stand, his salsa-stained recipe book, and a name the whole city still remembers. You rebuild the legend from there โ€” stand to trailer to truck to a retired school bus with a pizza oven โ€” while Taco Titan, the soulless chain, swallows Pico City block by block. Himmey watches from across the street and occasionally "forgets" a hundred dollars in your tip jar. He is not helping. (He is absolutely helping.)

Who makes it

Taco Truck Tycoon is built by a small family team in Iowa, USA โ€” a hobby project made with love, updated regularly. It's a web-first game: the browser version is the real thing, not a demo.

Where it's headed

The browser game is free to play now and gets updates often. Standalone Windows and mobile versions are planned for later and will be paid apps; there's no release date or price for those yet. A deeper recipe system, more locations, and more of Himmey's voice are on the road map.
